Trespassing on a old farm property can be risky but I have driven by this spot so many times and had to stop to find out what it was all about. Just as we contemplated leaving (read HUGE dog house) the owner drove up the lane on his 4x4 with said dog to greet us. He was more than happy to let us shoot and show us around. Not the easiest thing to do in heels (see future posts) but so worth it. We were introduced to Giovanni, a sweet man with a few great tales to tell and his horse, chickens, a frisky rooster, kittens and rabbits, one only 3 days old. We spent about an hour at the property, admiring the colours, being schooled on organic eggs taken straight from the coop and satisfying my love of all things old.
It was just the therapy I needed to slow things down and take in all the changes that are happening in life right now.
