The multi-strand bauble necklace was a gift from my grandmother about 10 years ago. Just a few months shy of her 99th birthday, I may just have to 'lend' to her for the upcoming celebration! 

vintage and a great seamstress

Often when purchasing vintage it is the print or the fabric of a garment that  initially inspires me. 

While the fit of many finds is not always perfect, a great seamstress can change all that. 

Thankfully my seamstress, Laurette, came to my rescue with this dress. 

By simply taking in the arms and the bodice, this dress became a perfect fit!

picker sisters

A huge part of my love for vintage is idea of reinventing something old and giving it a new life/purpose.

As a result, I have developed a bit of an obsession with the show "Picker Sisters".

The hosts, Tanya and Tracy share a friendship that is infectious.  Their vision is genius. Their style is bang on!
