the old city - part one

My husband and I just returned from a fantastic vacation in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico where we spent the week with friends at a gorgeous villa called Rivera del Rio in the old part of the city. The people we met and new friends we made will forever make me smile. Thanks to our dear friend Tab for being such a wonderful host and to our new friends Alex, Church Gerry, Chio and Benjamin for their hospitality. Levanto una copa a mis amigos.

Still on the hunt for the perfect mariachi pants. I attempted to get one of these gentlemen to sell me theirs' with no luck. Next time we visit I will have to make the trek to Guadalajara to get a pair of my own.

In Toronto for a minute to take in the fall Vintage Crawl, where a number of vintage stores stay open until midnight for some serious shopping pleasure.  I did however, have two regrets at the end of the night.  One being that I haven't worn these boots in a decade and forgot how much I love them, and two, I forgot how ridiculously heavy they are.  By the end of night it was as if I had just completed a cross country trek wearing weighted ankle bands!

Well it certainly didn't take me long to find another 'perfect' beaded/sequins jacket!  

I think that the pattern of the sequins on the shoulders and down the sleeves is just fantastic. I love the way it catches the light.  I only wish that I would have got a photo of the back.  The same detail starts at the shoulder blades and comes to a point in the centre. Glorious!
