I love it when you find a garment that is so versatile that you could wear it everyday and never wear it the same way twice!

I found these coveralls on a whim, perfectly distressed with no need for alterations.  Sometimes a find takes a little of vision to make it right, but these had a mind all their own.

Whether it was a fashion show, alpaca farm or blog shoot, worn with sneakers, a designer bag or stacked jewels, they just work!  I just can't get enough. xx

You may remember a few weeks ago when I posted 'What I'm thinking about for Spring' that I had included a granny square hand-knit tank on my list.  Well, it has taken a few months to convince her but my very talented friend Diane has agreed to make me a custom one.  I'll be in town visiting family and friends this weekend and plan to meet up with her for a drink and 'unveiling'.  I'm so excited. 

In the meantime, I picked up this sweater at a consignment store in Toronto.  It by no means trumps the granny square design but the fact that it was handmade, evident by its little imperfections prevented me from leaving it on the rack! Oh, and it just so happens to match my new (pre-loved) Fendi baguette perfectly.

When you think of a full length layered lace skirt, I bet 'casual' is not the first word that pops into your head. 

Sometimes I fall in love with a piece of clothing but hesitate to buy it when its wearability is limited.  Really, there is only so much room in my closet for things that I can only wear once or style one way. 

While pairing this skirt with a fitted turtleneck and a fur coat was an obvious option for night, I toned it down for day and had a little fun by pairing it with an over sized cashmere sweater and some ankle boots.  A future option may be to pair the skirt with a leather jacket and combat boots or a t-shirt and sneakers or...
